Let’s welcome and congratulate the new executive committee of Elite Toastmasters Club elected for the upcoming year 2021-2022.
We are really excited to have this group of individuals taking the responsibility to run the club from the front.
We hope with their unique talent, expertise and wisdom, the newly elected executive committee will elevate our club to a newer height.
Finally, DTM Diane Law would like share her poem and to usher the new term 2021 – 2022.
Ode to the end of the term
Today is the 30th of June
We end the term with a boon
Showing the outside that it was a honeymoon
But on the inside at times it was a monsoon
That was overcome by a platoon
A platoon filled with dedication
That set in motion the notion
That everything we do is a version
Of action that only bears distinction
And after all, we expect more
Many of us started from the shore
And now we sail away like never before
in search to explore
so that we could be more than folklores and metaphors
Only to return with adventure and awe
That at the same time we can be insignificant
And yet significant
As we are all a fragment of a statement
That continues to create a movement
That will have accomplishment, disappointment and acknowledgement
But at the end
We return from adventure and awe
To share development and empowerment
Tomorrow is the 1st of July
And this time we’d like to fly
